Replacing an entire fence can be an expensive and difficult task. The Simpson Strong-Tie® E-Z Mender™ is designed to help make reinforcing fence posts easy and economical.
The E-Z Mender is a simple solution for timber fence post repair and reinforcement in both dirt or concrete. The E-Z Mender is approved for installation with the Strong-Drive® SD Connector screw.

Features & Benefits
- Repair and reinforce 75mm or 90mm fence posts easily and economically
- Suitable for posts installed in concrete or dirt
- Reinforces weakened posts without having to replace the post or concrete
- Installed individually or in pairs (sold individually)
Installation
- Use all specified fasteners
- Remove dirt or debris from around the existing post
- Drive the mender plate down along the post between the post and the dirt or concrete, ensuring that the plates are driven 280mm into the ground for full penetration
- Repeat on opposite side of the post if required
- Fasten to post using the following or equivalent fasteners Strong-Drive® SD Connector Screw (SD9112R100 — #9 x 38mm) or Strong-Drive® SCN Smooth Shank Connector Nail (N10DHDG-R — 38 x 3.75mm Nails)
- Fill the hole around the post with concrete
